About Michael

I have spent a lifetime collecting stories—not because I planned to become a writer, but because life kept handing me moments worth remembering.

My journey has taken me through service in the United States Army, including the 82nd Airborne Division, a career in the United States Coast Guard, and many years of federal civilian service with the Drug Enforcement Administration. Each chapter taught me something different about duty, perseverance, leadership, people, and the value of showing up when it matters.

Today, I am retired, but I am far from finished. I am a husband, father, veteran, Christian, observer of human nature, and lifelong work in progress. My faith, my family, and the experiences that shaped me remain at the center of who I am.

MichaelAgee.com is where I document daily life honestly—the victories, mistakes, memories, hard lessons, humor, health struggles, faith, and ordinary moments that often turn out to mean the most. Some stories are serious. Some are funny. Some may be uncomfortable. All of them are real.

This website is not about pretending to have life figured out. It is about paying attention while life is happening, learning from where I have been, and leaving behind an honest record of the road I traveled.
